Cepea, September 16, 2026 – Sowing of the 2026/27 soybean crop has already begun and is underway in Paraná, Mato Grosso and some areas of São Paulo, favored by recent rainfall, and activities are expected to gain pace as rains ease. Producers intend to take advantage of the favorable weather conditions to bring field activities forward and thus try to minimize possible effects of El Niño on the 2026/27 crop.
With market players focused on weather conditions, sellers have held back from trades involving large volumes, reducing liquidity and pushing prices up in the domestic spot market
