Cepea, January 12, 2018 – After the record 2016/17 Brazilian crop and the consequent domestic price drops, the corn area in the 2017/18 season should be the smallest since 1976/77. Besides lower revenue in the last season, area decreases are also linked to the delay of soybean harvest in some Brazilian regions. Still, high ending stocks should keep the domestic corn availability high
